Welcome to Evergreen

The Evergreen Health Insurance Program can pay medical insurance premiums for eligible Washington State residents, enabling them to maintain access to vital health care. To be eligible for Evergreen, you must first enroll in Washington State Department of Health’s HIV Client Services, Early Intervention Program (EIP).

This website has information about the program and how to apply if you are eligible for Evergreen Health Insurance Program (EHIP). There is also information about insurance and HIV resources, which may be useful whether or not you are eligible for Evergreen. More information about Evergreen is available by calling 206-323-2834 (King County) or 1-800-945-4256. You can also email us at ehip@ehip.org.

News

The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is no longer able to anticipate spenddown costs for their clients enrolled in Medicaid.  Evergreen recommends that Medicaid clients consider Healthcare for Workers with Disability as one option to maintain your Medicaid.  If you cannot meet your spenddown, the Medicare Savings Program may also be able to help you pay for your Medicare Part B premiums. Please do not drop your Medicare Part B if you have to take over premiums - you will lose your medical coverage and be discontinued from EIP!
