The Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan, Washington State (PCIP-WA), is a new, temporary federal high risk pool created as part of federal health care reform. It provides health insurance coverage to individuals with pre-existing conditions who have been uninsured for at least six months and who are US citizens, nationals, or lawful residents of the US.
