Welcome to Evergreen
The Evergreen Health Insurance Program can pay medical insurance premiums for eligible Washington State residents, enabling them to maintain access to vital health care. To be eligible for Evergreen, you must first enroll in Washington State Department of Health’s HIV Client Services, Early Intervention Program (EIP).
This website has information about the program and how to apply if you are eligible for Evergreen Health Insurance Program (EHIP). There is also information about insurance and HIV resources, which may be useful whether or not you are eligible for Evergreen. The Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan, Washington State (PCIP-WA), is a new, temporary federal high risk pool created as part of federal health care reform. It provides health insurance coverage to individuals with pre-existing conditions who have been uninsured for at least six months and who are US citizens, nationals, or lawful residents of the US. Effective October 15, 2010, PCIP-WA is accepting payments from Evergreen on behalf of our clients. Please learn more about PCIP-WA to see if it right for you.
